This Fried Cabbage and Noodles dish is so easy, uses only three ingredients and it’s ready in less than an hour which makes it the perfect weeknight meal! Or, serve with chicken or beef as a tasty low calorie side dish!

How To Make Fried Cabbage and Noodles
Truth: bacon makes everything better! 🙂
With that said, let’s get started. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, preferably one that has a lid or can fit a lid. Add six slices of bacon. Cook the bacon until crispy or close to crispy, you want it to be easy to crumble or chop.
While the bacon is cooking, chop a head of cabbage. Yes, an ENTIRE head. Don’t worry it will cook down. Also, get a pot started to cook the egg noodles.
Once the bacon is cooked, remove from skillet and add all the chopped cabbage.
Cover with a lid so the cabbage steams down. My lid barely fit at first, give it a few minutes. Once it starts to cook down it will be easier to stir and incorporate into the bacon grease.
Once its cooked down (about 30 minutes), add half of the chopped bacon and the egg noodles and stir to incorporate all the flavors.
Transfer the Fried Cabbage and Noodles to a serving dish and top with remaining chopped bacon. Serve immediately.

Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 16 oz egg noodlesÂ
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet with a lid over medium heat. (Set lid aside for now).
- Add bacon slices and cook until crispy.
- While the bacon is cooking, chop head of cabbage and cook egg noodles.
- When bacon is cooked, remove from skillet.
- Add cabbage to bacon grease over medium heat.
- Add lid and steam down the cabbage, this will take about 30 minutes.
- Stir the cabbage occasionally to incorporate the flavors.
- After 30 minutes, stir in the egg noodles and half of the bacon chopped.
- Transfer to serving dish and top with remaining bacon.
- Serve immediately.
