- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 can petite diced tomatoes (28 oz can)
- 1 can red kidney beans (16 oz can)
- 1 can diced green chilis (4.5 oz can)
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- In a large dutch oven or saucepan, add chopped onion over medium-high heat.
- Cook onions for a few minutes and then add ground beef.
- Cook beef until cooked through.
- Add tomatoes, chilis and spices and stir.
- Add beans and water and stir.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for an hour.
- Enjoy with your favorite toppings!
