Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls

Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 tsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a round metal or glass pan, or use a cast iron skillet.
  2. Arrange the biscuits in 2 rows on a piece of parchment or rolling mat.
  3. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, pinching the seam together if necessary.
  4. Brush the top of the dough with the melted butter, reserving the remaining for later.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Sprinkle the mixture over top the melted butter.
  7. Starting on the long edge, roll up the dough into a log.
  8. Using a sharp knife, divide into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Arrange the cut pieces in the pan swirl side up.
  10. Brush the tops with remaining butter.
  11. Bake for 20 – 23 minutes, if using a cast iron, or 23 – 28 minutes if using a metal or glass pan.
  12. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
  13. Remove rolls from oven and top with icing.
  14. Serve immediately or cool and refrigerate in an airtight container.
