Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 34 yukon gold potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 and lightly grease a small casserole dish.
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes and shred the cheddar if needed.
  3. Arrange the potatoes in the greased casserole dish.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. While stirring continuously, add the flour. Making sure to not burn.
  6. Slowly pour in milk while continuously stirring.
  7. Bring the sauce to low boil and let simmer until it’s slightly thickened.
  8. Pour sauce over potatoes.
  9. Top with shredded cheese.
  10. Bake for 1 hour.
  11. Serve immediately.
  12. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe makes enough for 3 – 4 people, if making for a larger group, I suggest doubling the recipe.
