How To Make Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pre-heat the oven to 375 and line a sheet pan with parchment. The parchment really isn’t necessary but I just like the easy clean up! In a large mixing bowl, cream together the shortening and sugars using a hand mixer.
Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined. Then add the dry ingredients and mix. Using a large spoon, stir in the chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scoop, measure out 12 heaping scoops and arrange on top of the parchment. Don’t try to fit more or they will bake into each other.
If you have two sheet pans, you can prepare and bake the two dozen at the same time.
Bake for 10 – 12 minutes and transfer to wire rack for cooling. Then measure out and bake the next dozen. Store in an airtight container.
Hope you enjoy!
