- 1 cup vegetable shortening (such as crisco)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 and line a sheet pan with parchment and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugars with hand mixer.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Add in dry ingredients and mix well.
- With a mixing spoon, stir in chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop, measure out a dozen heaping scoops onto parchment lined pan.
- Bake for 10 – 12 minutes.
- Transfer to cooling rack and repeat with remaining cookie dough.
- Enjoy!
