Cinnamon Quickbread

This Cinnamon Quickbread is so perfect with a cup of hot tea or coffee! Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds for a warm and comforting snack!

Let’s get started, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a loaf pan or line with parchment.

In a large bowl, beat together crisco and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Alternate, half of the dry ingredients and buttermilk until all ingredients are completely incorporated.

In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and sugar for the filling and topping.

Spread a third of the batter in the bottom of the greased and/or parchment lined loaf pan. Sprinkle a third of the cinnamon sugar. With a butter knife give it a little swirl. Then continue layering the batter and cinnamon sugar, finishing with the cinnamon sugar on top. Using the butter knife, swirl in the cinnamon sugar and leave with a nice pattern on top.

Bake for 55 – 60 minutes checking with a toothpick at 55 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on type of pan used.
