- 1 box (3.9 oz) instant vanilla pudding
- 1 1/2 cups milk or almond milk
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×9 square pan or 9 inch round pan with cooking spray.
- In large bowl, beat dry pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 minutes.
- Stir in cake mix until well blended.
- In a small bowl, mix the dark brown sugar, ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.
- Spread 1/3 of batter evenly in bottom of pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the cinnamon mixture and chopped pecans.
- Continue layering, ending with the cinnamon mixture and pecans on top.
- Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out almost clean.
- Let stand 15 minutes. Use large spoon for serving.
