Vanilla Ice Cream

Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and milk.
  2. Once the sugar has dissolved, whisk in the vanilla and heavy cream until combined.
  3. Cover bowl and refrigerate for 2 – 3 hours or overnight.
  4. In another mixing bowl, beat softened butter and brown sugar together using a hand mixer.
  5. Beat in milk and vanilla.
  6. Then beat in flour.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Cover and refrigerate until ready to churn ice cream.

Churning the Ice Cream

  1. When you are ready to churn, setup your ice cream maker.
  2. Pour chilled ice cream mixture into your ice cream maker’s freezer bowl.
  3. Churn for 15 minutes.
  4. At the 10 minute mark, start to drop in pieces of the cookie dough.
  5. Use about 1/2 – 3/4 of the cookie dough.
  6. After churning, transfer to a freezer safe container. Layering the remaining cookie dough in between layers of ice cream.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until ready to serve.
  8. Enjoy!
