How to Make Dark Chocolate Hummus:
If you haven’t tried to make hummus before, it’s really the easiest to make! And a dessert hummus is such a special treat! All you really need is a spatula and a food processor or blender!
Place the drained and rinsed the chickpeas in the bowl of the food processor. Add all the remaining ingredients, reserving the extra tablespoon(s) of water.
Pulse for 30 seconds, the hummus should be smooth. Using a rubber spatula, scrap down the sides. The consistency may be very thick at this point, if so, add one tablespoon of water. Pulse again for 30 seconds and then check the consistency and repeat with a tablespoon of water until desired consistency is reached. I believe two extra tablespoons should be enough. If you do happen the use too much water (speaking from experience here), chill the hummus for an hour or so and it will solidify.
Once the hummus is smooth, transfer to a serving dish and garnish with mini chocolate chips, if desired. Store and refrigerate remaining in an airtight container for up to a week.
Hope you enjoy!
