Fried Cabbage and Noodles

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 16 oz egg noodles 

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet with a lid over medium heat. (Set lid aside for now).
  2. Add bacon slices and cook until crispy.
  3. While the bacon is cooking, chop head of cabbage and cook egg noodles.
  4. When bacon is cooked, remove from skillet.
  5. Add cabbage to bacon grease over medium heat.
  6. Add lid and steam down the cabbage, this will take about 30 minutes.
  7. Stir the cabbage occasionally to incorporate the flavors.
  8. After 30 minutes, stir in the egg noodles and half of the bacon chopped.
  9. Transfer to serving dish and top with remaining bacon.
  10. Serve immediately.
