How To Make Garlic Parmesan Swiss Chard
This Garlic Parmesan Swiss Chard is so easy to make as a side or as topping for polenta, rice or pasta! As when buying as produce, make sure you give your chard a good wash. Chard can sometimes be a little sandy. I just trim the ends of the stems off, but not necessarily the entire stem. Then chop all the leaves and stems into 1/2 inch pieces.
Place the chard into a pot and cover with water. Use enough to just cover the top of the chard. Bring to a boil and let cook for about 5 minutes.
Strain the chard and return to the pot. Add in the olive oil, minced garlic and red pepper flakes, if desired. Toss until well mixed.
Transfer to a bowl and top with grated parmesan cheese. Serve immediately! This tasty dish will go fast, sometimes I even eat it as a meal!
Hope you enjoy!
