- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 8 tbsp salted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup water, cold
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 5 tsp ground ginger
- 4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, add egg, sugar, molasses, butter and water; mix well.
- Add flour, baking soda, ginger and salt to the molasses mixture.
- Beat until well mixed.
- Pour into a greased bundt pan.
- Bake until cake tests done, about 35 minutes.
- Flip out onto a wire rack to cool.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- If you are using a heavier bundt pan, consider checking the cake at 30 minutes or baking at 325 degrees.
