How To Make Johnny Marzetti Skillet Casserole
First, heat the olive oil and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Use a large skillet with lid if you have it or use a lid from a large pot to cover the skillet. You will need to cover when the macaroni is cooking.
Next, add the ground beef to the garlic and oil, I use lean ground beef, it’s less fatty and you won’t need to drain. Add the spices and continue to stir until the beef is completely cooked.
Once the beef is completely cooked, add the tomatoes. Fill the tomato can with water and add that to the skillet. Stir and let cook until it begins to low boil.
Add in the uncooked elbow macaroni and stir. Cover, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to make sure that the noodles are cooking evenly.
Serve immediately with your favorite veggie or salad! Garnish with grated parmesan cheese!
Hope you enjoy!
