- 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 32 oz vanilla frosting
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 2 candy canes, crushed
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and cream cheese.
- Blend in sugar with butter mixture.
- Mix in egg and peppermint extract.
- Add in baking powder, baking soda and flour and mix thoroughly.
- Spread into greased pan.
- Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely.
- Mix 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract in each tub of the vanilla frosting.
- Spread frosting on top of bars and top with crushed candy canes.
- Enjoy!
