  • Author: The Sweet Cucina
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 oz pepperoni or turkey pepperoni
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 5 oz roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • all-purpose flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
  2. Measure out parmesan and olive oil. Set aside.
  3. Drain, pat dry and slice the roasted red peppers.
  4. On a lightly floured surface or lightly floured piece of parchment, roll out pizza dough to long oval shape.
  5. Arrange roasted red peppers down the center, leaving room to fold over the edges.
  6. Layer the pepperoni on top of the peppers.
  7. Then layer the shredded mozzarella on top of the pepperoni.
  8. Cut the dough in strips on the sides, fold over the strips in a braid pattern.
  9. Place parchment on sheet pan and place braided bread on top of parchment (if you didn’t do that in step 4 above).
  10. Brush top with the olive oil.
  11. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top.
  12. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Enjoy!

Notes

  • I used fresh pizza dough from my local grocery store bakery but the refrigerated pizza dough will work as well.
  • I used Turkey Pepperoni instead of regular Pepperoni.
