Quiche Lorraine

How to Make Quiche Lorraine:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the pie crust in your pie or quiche dish. Both homemade pie crust and store-bought work well here. I always have some extra pie crusts in the freezer for an impromptu pie or quiche!

Ok, so your pan is lined with the pie crust, set it aside for now. Chop the cooked bacon, chives and shred the gruyere and place all but a tablespoon of the chives inside the pie crust.

In a large bowl, add the eggs, milk and heavy cream. Beat with an electric hand mixer for 3 – 4 minutes until its airy and foamy.

Immediately pour the egg mixture evenly over top of the bacon, gruyere and chives. Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of chives on top.

Place in the oven on a middle rack for 40 – 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Mine is usually done at 40 minutes but everyone’s oven is different.

Let cool before cutting. Quiche also makes great prep meal! I slice into wedges and freeze for breakfast, lunch or dinner later!

Hope you enjoy!
