How To Make Sugared Cranberries

Making Sugared Cranberries is relatively easy, it’s the waiting in between steps that takes the longest. Let’s get started. Line a sheet pan with wax or parchment paper and then place a wire rack on top of the paper, set aside.

In a medium saucepan, dissolve a 1/2 cup of sugar into the water over medium heat. The mixture doesn’t need to boil just get warm enough so that the sugar is completely dissolved.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the fresh cranberries, stirring to coat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cranberries to the wire rack. Let dry for about an hour.

Place remaining cup of sugar in a shallow bowl, using a slotted spoon, transfer the cranberries to the sugar and gently toss to coat. Suggest doing this in batches so that the cranberries do not all stick together. Transfer the cranberries back to the rack.

Continue with the remaining cranberries and then let sit for another hour to dry.

Store the Sugared Cranberries in an airtight container.
