- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp milk or half and half
- food coloring, if desired
- sprinkles, if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and line a sheet pan with parchment.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, confectioners sugar and cornstarch with a hand mixer until creamy.
- Beat in all-purpose flour.
- Add milk one tablespoon at a time and beat until dough comes together.
- If using food coloring, add it now and mix or divide dough and mix in different colors.
- Using a small cookie scoop or teaspoon, roll teaspoon sized balls and place on parchment lined sheet pan. Leaving about 2 inches between cookies.
- Using a fork, lightly press on each rolled ball and top with sprinkles, if desired.
- Bake for 7 minutes, cool on wire rack.
- Continue rolling and pressing remaining dough.
