How To Make Whiskey Meatballs
Whether you choose to make your own meatballs or use them already prepared from your local grocery store, this recipe is super easy! I make my own meatballs and it takes no time at all!
A pound of ground chuck makes approximately 50 quarter-sized meatballs. Mix the ground chuck, egg, bread crumbs and seasonings in a large bowl. Form the meatballs, place on a parchment lined sheet pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
Remove the meatballs from the oven and start the sauce. Place a medium-large saucepan over medium heat and add the ketchup and brown sugar.
Stir together until a rich sauce forms and comes to a very low boil. Then add the whiskey.
Transfer the meatballs into the sauce and let the mixture come to a low boil again. Turn the heat off and cover for 15 minutes so that meatballs marinate a little.
Serve immediately or cool and refrigerate in an airtight container. These Whiskey Meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen until you are ready to serve!
