Whiskey Sauce


Instructions

Meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the ground chuck, egg, breadcrumbs and spices.
  3. Form into quarter-sized meatballs and place on the parchment lined sheet pan.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and set aside.

Whiskey Sauce

  1. In a medium-large saucepan, add the ketchup and dark brown sugar.
  2. Bring to a very low boil over medium heat, stirring until the sauce is smooth.
  3. Stir in the whiskey and add in the meatballs.
  4. Bring to another very low boil, then turn off the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid for 15 – 30 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately or cool and refrigerate or freeze in an airtight container until ready to serve.
  6. Enjoy!
