How To Make Hot Honey Smoked Sausage

This recipe is so simple, I really can’t stress how easy it is! Don’t like spicy foods? No problem! Modify with your favorite honey!

First, slice the smoked sausage and add to a small to medium sized skillet. I used a small cast iron skillet, but that’s not required. Depending on your skillet, you may want to spray it with cooking spray before adding the sausage.

Brown the sausage over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure all the pieces are browned. You may need to lower the heat if the sausage is splattering too much.

Once browned, turn the heat to low (if you haven’t already done so) and add the hot honey and stir to coat. Let heat through for 5 minutes. If you don’t like spicy, use your favorite classic honey. If you don’t have hot honey, you can use classic honey with a pinch of cayenne or even crushed red pepper.

After the honey has heated through, serve immediately with toothpicks. This can also be made ahead of time and reheated when ready to serve!

Hope you enjoy!
