I love these Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies! They are the perfect combination of soft and chewy, and with the added bonus of dark chocolate, they are sure to be a crowd pleaser!

- salted butter
- light brown sugarĀ
- granulated sugar
- large eggs
- vanilla extract
- all-purpose flour
- old fashioned oats or quick oats
- baking soda
- baking powder
- sea salt

How To Make Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Nothing’s better than warm oatmeal cookies!! I promise these will be your new favorite cookie!
First, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment. The parchment is not required but I love how easy it makes the cleanup.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugars with a hand or stand mixer. Then add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat well. Then the flour, oats, baking soda and baking powder.
Last but definitely not least! Stir in the dark chocolate chips using a large spoon. Now, using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, measure heaping tablespoons and place on cookie sheet. I was able to fit about a dozen per cookie sheet.
Bake for about 10 – 12 minutes, not letting the bottoms burn but letting them brown. Make sure the centers are baked. Transfer to wire rack to cool and repeat with remaining cookie dough.

- Using a cookie scoop, drop a heaping tablespoon on to un-greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 – 12 minutes
- Makes about 2 dozen cookies
