Pre-heat oven to 350 and lightly grease a small casserole dish.
Arrange the chopped broccoli in the greased casserole dish.
In a medium saucepan or skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
While stirring continuously, add the flour. Making sure to not burn.
Slowly pour in milk while continuously whisking.
Bring the sauce to low boil and let simmer until it’s slightly thickened.
Pour sauce over broccoli.
Top with shredded cheese.
Bake for 35 - 40 minutes until bubbly.
Serve immediately!
